Grant's 1864 Overland crusade opposed to the military of Northern Virginia, the desolate tract witnessed the various fiercest combating of the Civil battle. although outnumbered, basic Lee's forces posed stiff resistance to Grant's offensive. on the finish of the 3 day conflict, the end result was once doubtful, and the struggle led to a draw. Brilliantly illustrating one of many American Civil War's so much tactically difficult battles, this sketch narrative brings to existence a very new form of war; the likes of which had by no means been fought ahead of on American soil.
