In June of 1964, 3 idealistic younger males (one black and white) have been lynched via the Ku Klux Klan in Mississippi. They have been attempting to check in African american citizens to vote as a part of the liberty summer season attempt to convey democracy to the South. Their disappearance and homicide brought on a countrywide uproar and was once probably the most major incidents of the Civil Rights circulation, and contributed to the passage of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
